At Aston on Trent Primary School we believe that Religious Education provides an opportunity to celebrate and foster an awareness of differences and diversity within our school, local communities and the wider world.

Religious Education at our school is designed to engage, inspire, challenge and encourage children. We explore different religious beliefs, values and traditions, and children are taught to be respectful individuals and show mutual respect. We aim to develop children’s sense of belonging and identity and inspire them to flourish individually within our community.

Religious Education at our school is linked to many different subjects such as art, drama and PSHE, and our children love learning about different religions and cultures through a wide range of visits and visitors. 

As a result of our Religious Education curriculum, children at Aston on Trent feel valued as individuals and feel that their beliefs, whether religious or non-religious, are valued and celebrated.
