Achieving success for all

Equality and Diversity

Our Equality Objectives

1) We believe that different cultures, talents and life experiences bring richness and vibrancy to school life and help create an environment that supports us all in learning from each other. Our school vision and values help us to do this, and we strive to achieve these every day and in all we do. We welcome children, staff, parents, volunteers from all backgrounds.

2) We aim to be a community where everyone is treated fairly. Our staff and children demonstrate readiness, respectfulness and resilience. As a school community we live these values to help achieve our aims.

We want everyone to flourish and reach their potential, and we recognise that for some pupils extra support is needed to help to achieve success for all.

3) As a school, we aim to eliminate discrimination, promote equality of opportunity and foster good relations between people of all backgrounds. This duty is set out in the Equality Act of 2010, which covers sex, race, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment and pregnancy or maternity.

Here you can find information on our commitment to Equality and Diversity, along with how we comply with public sector equality duty. Our equality objectives are reviewed regularly by staff and governors.

  • Support families to enable good attendance at school.
  • Support families with the completion of paperwork where needed. For example, applying for a new school place.
  • Support children and families at times of transition. For example, before travelling or when moving to a new school.
