Chellaston Academy - Year 6 Open Evening - Thursday 27th September

We have received the following message from Chellaston Academy - details can be found on Parent Hub, or at Aston-on-Trent Primary School school office.

Year 6 Open Evening - Thursday 27th September 2018. -From 6pm to 8pm

We would like to invite parents and students who are currently in Year 6 to our Open Evening on 27th September. This evening is for those wishing to apply for admission to Year 7 in September 2019.

The evening gives parents and prospective students the opportunity to hear about what our academy has to offer, to visit all our curriculum areas and meet teachers and current students.

Our Year 6 Open Evening is one of the busiest in our school calendar as we welcome more than 600 visitors to our site. To accommodate this number of people we will be running three presentation sessions in the Main Hall at 6.00pm, 6.40pm and 7.20pm. You will be given a ticket on arrival at the main entrance that will indicate which presentation will be part of your tour. There will be tour guides on hand to show you to all curriculum areas and to answer questions.

Parking on the school site is very limited. We would encourage you, where possible, to walk, use public transport, car share or park off-site if you are attending this event. If you require assistance or disabled access, please contact the school before our event so that we can meet your mobility needs.

We look forward to meeting you at our event this year and hope that you have an enjoyable and informative evening.

Yours sincerely

Mr K J Gaiderman

Executive Headteacher

New Communication System from January 2018

From January 2018, the school will be using a new system for commuicating with parent/carers.  The system is a phone based app called 'ParentHub'  We would welcome parents support in this as we strongly believe it will improve communication and provide efficiencies within school.  Please can all parent/carers ensure you have downloaded the app in readiness for returning to school in January.  Many thanks    Website link
